Recently the Link Theatre Northam received substantial funding that was put towards a new and exciting sound and lighting systems upgrade. The equipment installed gives the Link Theatre much more diversity in the way we can create truly amazing lighting and sound environments. However, this can only be achieved with at least some understanding of how to use the equipment that’s been installed, and also requires people willing to operate this equipment.

Ideally we hope to have a minimum of 4-6 people who are able to run/operate the new equipment without supervision. People who can be called apon (when available) to attend show nights, rehearsals and various events the Link Theatre holds. If this sounds like something you or someone you know would be interested in, we are holding a training day on the 1st June at 2:30pm.

If you want to come along before the training day to experience the lighting and sound systems in use, the Open Mic Night is on the night before so come down from 6:30pm till late.

Bring a note pad or something to write on, any questions, post on this event. No prior knowledge is necessary, although it will help to get your head around the equipment! Hope to see you there!

PS: If you think this sounds like something your child may be interested in or someone that doesn’t have access to Facebook then please message the Link Theatre page and we can discuss the logistics further. We need the future Technicians to start learning now!
